Discuss Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Some public TV stations in the USA are showing this film uncut with no interruptions this weekend. The rural-country expressions by Slim Pickens as the bomber pilot are hilarious. They come out so fast that it's hard to catch them. James Earl Jones is also on that bomber, in an early role for him.

One of my all-time favorite films. The black-and-white photography was terrific, the performances by Peter Sellers unhinged, and the overall weirdness was so compelling.

"The string. The string in my leg is gone." "Precious bodily fluids." "You can't fight in here, this is the War Room!" "...nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair a nylon stockings. Shoot, a fellah could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff."

God, the movie was hilarious and so terribly clever.
