Astrid Whettnall (née Ullens de Schooten Whettnall, known as Astrid Whettnall; born 17 March 1971) is a Belgian stage and film actress. She studied at the Kleine Academy in Brussels and began working in theatre. Her film credits include Capital (2012), In the Name of the Son (2012), Salaud, on t'aime (2014), Yves Saint Laurent (2014), Marguerite (2015), and Close Enemies (2018).

She received the Magritte Award for Best Actress for her work in Road to Istanbul (2016).

She is daughter of Charles-Albert Ullens de Schooten Whettnall (1927-2006) and his wife Countess Madeleine Berndotte (b. 1938). Through her maternal grandfather Prince Carl Bernadotte, she is great-great-granddaughter of King Oscar II of Sweden and Norway and King Frederick VIII of Denmark; being she a third cousin of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, second cousin of King Philippe of Belgium and Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and second cousin, once removed, of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece. She is also a descendant of King George II of Great Britain and King William I of the Netherlands.

Astrid Jadot, née Astrid Ullens de Schooten Whettnall le 17 mars 1971 à Uccle et plus connue comme Astrid Whettnall, est une actrice et scénariste belge.

Après s'être formée à la Kleine Académie à Bruxelles et au Cours Raymond Girard à Paris, Astrid Whettnall intègre la troupe du théâtre de Levallois-Perret. Elle commence alors à jouer dans des mises en scènes de Francis Besson, Max Naldini ou Guy Moign, avant de répondre à l'appel du cinéma.

On la retrouve d'abord dans les courts métrages de Lionel Jadot (Ysé, Sisters, Conduite Intérieure). Le cinéma belge lui offre ses premières apparitions au cinéma notamment dans Le monde nous appartient de Stephan Streker, Fils unique de Miel Van Hoogenbemt (présenté au Arras Film Festival en 2011). Après Little Glory de Vincent Lannoo, ce dernier lui fait jouer le rôle principal dans Au nom du fils (présenté au FIFF en 2012), ce qui lui vaut d’être nommée pour le Magritte de la meilleure actrice en 2014. Le film lui donne une visibilité internationale et la mène dans de nombreux festivals à travers le monde. Dès lors, les tournages s’enchaînent, sous la direction notamment de Costa-Gavras, Claude Lelouch, Benoît Mariage et Jalil Lespert ou encore Xavier Giannoli. En 2016, elle tourne avec Rachid Bouchareb dans La route d'Istanbul présenté au Festival de Berlin de la même année. En 2017, elle est à l'affiche du film de Gabriel Le Bomin, Nos patriotes aux côtés de Marc Zinga et dans la nouvelle saison de la série prestige de Canal+ Baron noir.
