阿巴斯·基亚罗斯塔米（Abbas Kiarostami），1940年6月22日出生于伊朗德黑兰，伊朗电影导演、编剧、制片人、摄影，毕业于德黑兰大学美术学院。

1970年，执导剧情短片《面包与小巷》，从而正式开启了他的导演生涯。1987年，执导剧情片《何处是我朋友的家》，该片获得第42届洛迦诺国际电影节铜豹奖。1990年，执导剧情片《特写》，该片获得第14届蒙特利尔国际电影节魁北克影评人奖。1997年，执导剧情片《樱桃的滋味》获得第50届戛纳国际电影节金棕榈奖。1999年，执导剧情片《随风而逝》，该片获得第56届威尼斯国际电影节评委会大奖。

2002年，执导剧情片《十段生命的律动》，该片获得第55届戛纳国际电影节金棕榈奖提名。2005年，获得第58届洛迦诺国际电影节荣誉金豹奖。2010年，执导剧情片《合法副本》，该片获得第63届戛纳国际电影节金棕榈奖提名。2014年，担任第67届戛纳国际电影节“短片竞赛单元和电影基金会单元”的评委会主席。

2016年7月4日，阿巴斯·基亚罗斯塔米因癌症在巴黎去世，享年76岁；同年10月6日，获得第21届釜山国际电影节"年度亚洲电影人奖"。

Abbas Kiarostami was a director and scriptwriter who was born in 1940 in Tehran, Iran. He was a famous director and scriptwriter in Iran and across the world. His first movies were “The Bread and Alley”, “Breaktime” and “The Traveler”. He was also interested in photography, music, and painting. He has won a lot of awards such as Golden Palm for “Taste of Cherry” from Cannes Film Festival, the Crystal Simorgh of Jury for “Close-Up”. His other notable work include his ‘Koker trilogy’, and the films “Like Someone in Love” and “Certified Copy.”

Abbas Kiarostami (Teerã, 22 de junho de 1940 — Paris, 4 de julho de 2016) foi um poeta, cineasta, roteirista, produtor e fotógrafo iraniano. Obteve diversos prêmios internacionais, dentre os quais se destacam a Palma de Ouro de 1997, pelo filme Gosto de Cereja, e o Leão de Ouro do Festival de Veneza de 1999, por O Vento nos Levará. Em 2010 dirige Juliette Binoche e o tenor britânico William Shimel em Copie Conforme, (em português, Cópia Fiel), filme no qual faz sua dissertação sobre a arte no mundo contemporâneo. Em 2012, dirige seu último filme no Japão. Like Someone in Love (em português, Um alguém apaixonado)
