More awful news on a sad day for movie lovers. A heavy in one of Hitchcock's most iconic films, the greatest male performance in a Woody Allen picture and one of the most deserving supporting actor Oscar wins of all - a truly great character actor, RIP sir.

I haven't seen that but Egoyan is an interesting filmmaker and that's an impressive cast - I shall take a look at it for sure.

Only really know him from "Ed Wood"; but enjoyed him quite a bit in that movie.
A career that spans 60+ years in a business that’s known for chewin’ em up and spittin’ em out…NOT TOO SHABBY!

A landmark role played to perfection. Landau gave prime time tv one of the first flawed heroes. Commander K made mistakes, some really bad ones, and he often struggled with indecision, morality and his own humanity (remember the episode where he has a nervous breakdown and trashes all the Eagles in the hangar bay??).
At a time when scifi & action shows were feeding us perfect heroes who always saved the world, Commander K stood out as a very human character. How about Space Brain, where he sorta destroys an entire galaxy (if not a metaphor for god) and wrestles with the burden. Landau pulled it off like none other.
