Arlene Carol Dahl (Minneapolis, Minnesota, 11 d'agost de 1925 – Nova York, 29 de novembre de 2021) va ser una actriu i empresària estatunidenca. La seva carrera artística va ser més intensa a la darreria de la dècada del 1940. Fou una de les darreres estrelles en vida de l'era clàssica del cinema hollywoodià.

També va ser autora i empresària, fundant dues companyies, l'Arlene Dahl Enterprises i Dahlia, una companyia especialitzada en perfums.

Dahl va tenir tres fills; l'actor Lorenzo Lamas és el més gran i més famós que tingué amb el també actor Fernando Lamas.

Arlene Carol Dahl (August 11, 1925 – November 29, 2021) was an American actress active in films from the late 1940s. She was one of the last surviving stars from the Classical Hollywood cinema era. She was also an author and entrepreneur. She founded two companies, Arlene Dahl Enterprises and Dahlia, a fragrance company.

Born in Minnesota to parents of Norwegian descent, Dahl started her acting career in musicals before transitioning to film, where she gained significant roles in MGM productions such as "My Wild Irish Rose" (1947) and "The Bride Goes Wild" (1948). Dahl also starred in adventure films, notably "Caribbean Gold" (1952) and "Desert Legion" (1953).

Despite her acting success, Dahl faced financial challenges, declaring bankruptcy in 1981. She then entered the field of astrology, writing a syndicated column and operating a premium phoneline company. She also wrote numerous books on beauty and astrology.

In her personal life, Dahl had six husbands, including actors Lex Barker and Fernando Lamas, and was the mother to three children the eldest of whom is actor Lorenzo Lamas. She lived between New York City and West Palm Beach, Florida, until her death in 2021.

Arlene Carol Dahl (* 11. August 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, die vor allem in den 1950er Jahren als „rothaarige Schönheit“ Bekanntheit erlangte (obwohl ihr Haar nur gefärbt war).

1947 erhielt sie ihre erste kleine Filmrolle in MGMs Filmkomödie Unser Leben mit Vater (Life with Father). Bereits ein Jahr später war sie in Hauptrollen zu sehen. 1949 spielte sie neben Robert Taylor in dem Western Die Letzten von Fort Gamble (Ambush). In Richard Thorpes Filmmusical Drei kleine Worte (Three Little Words) konnte sie 1950 an der Seite von Fred Astaire und Vera-Ellen auch ihr Gesangstalent unter Beweis stellen.

Nachdem sie ihr Haar, ähnlich wie etwa Maureen O’Hara und Rhonda Fleming, rot gefärbt hatte, wurde Dahl besonders häufig in Abenteuerfilmen wie Die Geliebte des Korsaren (Caribbean, 1952) oder Der blaue Stein des Maharadscha (The Diamond Queen, 1953) besetzt, in denen ihr Haar in Technicolor-Farben besonders gut zur Geltung kam. In Allan Dwans Straße des Verbrechens (Slightly Scarlet) konnte sie 1956 aber auch als Psychopathin überzeugen. Ihre vielleicht bekannteste Rolle hatte sie hingegen 1959 in der Jules-Verne-Verfilmung Die Reise zum Mittelpunkt der Erde (Journey to the Center of the Earth) an der Seite von James Mason.

In den 1960er Jahren zog sich Dahl zunehmend aus dem Showgeschäft zurück.
