After he and Robin punch three crooks the Dynamic Duo shake hands. Then Robin disappears, Batman's lower body vanishes too. Just Bat's head and the word "Batman" in a black bat shape go on existing. What's up with that? It is really just something to get your attention. It has not much purpose other than that and showing the show's title.

I remember that from it's debut back in 1966. I thought it was pretty cool because that was logo on the cover of Batman comic books at the time. Don't know if it still appears on modern covers though.
