Did you love the highly noticable sphynx when Vina does her dance in 'The Cage'?

I am being sarcastic. I just noticed the small dark colored sphynx far to the side of comely actress Susan Oliver tonight when I watched the ep. Every time I watch I see new details I never noticed before. Was the sphynx in the non-CGI pilot too?

Probably a prop from a previous movie dealing with Ancient Egypt Like The Egyptian,The Ten Commandments or The Land Of The Pharaohs.

Jack Hawkins was in a lot of period pieces. I didn't know about Land of the Pharaohs. I may have to check that out.

I think that was the name of the ancient Egypt they started. I saw the movie when I was a kid, and a few months ago I rented it from YouTube. I've always liked Jack Hawkins (he was great in Lawrence Of Arabia and Ben-Hur), I always liked the ending of the movie.
