Has anyone (aside from yours truly) else from our legendary Star Trek message board ever seen the 2016 movie Gods Of Egypt? It reminded me (in a VERY sick and twisted way) of the Star Trek TOS episode Plato's Stepchildren. Reactions and opinions, s'il vous plait.

If you don't take it all too serious I think Gods Of Egypt is a fun movie in the vein of the old Mummy movies

I just thought it was strange that all of the "Gods" had either English, Scottish, or Australian accents.

Well... if they spoke in Arabic, I would have problems following the story.

They could have spoken in English but with Egyptian accents. Omar Sharif was Egyptian and he spoke perfectly understandable English with his Egyptian accent. He was so good in Lawrence Of Arabia, and very gorgeous as well!

@sukhisoo: Well that's what they have subtitles for, silly!
BTW, When I went to see Mission Impossible Rogue Nation in the theater, Sean Harris, who played bad guy Solomon Lane mumbled SO much that I couldn't understand him.

My boy the late, great Chadwick Boseman played the God Thoth. Chadwick's English accent was so good that I thought he was British.

@NeoLosman : I find your description of which Egyptian God Chadwick Boseman is playing now amusing. You have an interesting sense of humor.
BTW, I rented the sequel to Black Panther a couple of months ago on my telephone but only got through the first 15 minutes of the movie. I also only got through the first 15 minutes of the sequel to Doctor Strange, which is a pity, because I love Benedict Cumberbatch and Chitiwel Ejifor.
