Discuss Star Trek

Has anyone (aside from yours truly) else from our legendary Star Trek message board ever seen the 2016 movie Gods Of Egypt? It reminded me (in a VERY sick and twisted way) of the Star Trek TOS episode Plato's Stepchildren. Reactions and opinions, s'il vous plait.

I've seen it & except for certain parts, it is really bad! I gave it a 1/10.

Back in 2018 when I was younger and had more strength and fortitude, I rented Gods Of Egypt from Redbox (One of the things that I love about Redbox is that you can buy the movies as used for $2.99 to $5.99. It's really helped me expand my DVD collection). It was horrible, but somehow I managed to watch the entire movie. This morning for some nutty reason I decided to watch it again. It's on the NBC streaming service Peacock. Things have not been going well for me the last few months and I needed the laugh. Well, I only made it to the first 12 minutes.

Anyway, it was nice to hear from you. Don't be a stranger.

No, I haven’t seen it; in fact I’ve never heard of it. However, now that you’ve mention it (AND since I am “not allergic” to un-praised movies), if I run across it, I’ll probably check it out.

NOTE TO CASTIGATORS: Ed Wood = Superstar in my book.

Yes, if you want to watch it, you can for free if you have the NBC streaming service Peacock. My thoughts and prayers go with you.

@FormerlyKnownAs:😎 I don't know if this is true, but legend has it that when Ed Wood participated in the D-Day landing he was wearing women's underwear under his uniform. I was a little shocked when I first heard this, but after thinking about it 🤔 I came to the conclusion that if Ed Wood was serving his country by partipating in the D-Day landing, he can wear whatever the hell he wants.

Never hear this before; but, just the thought makes me slight_smile. Some people are SO ahead of their time!

blush

Although, it'll have to wait since I don't have "Peacock". But that’s not a worry since everything seems to pop up again-and-again one place or another.

Okay. Hope you can see it soon because Gods Of Egypt definitely has to be seen to be believed.

Would I be going out on a limb if I said: NOTHING with Gerard Butler in it can be all bad!?

No, I do like Butler but like any actor, he has some real stinkers on his resume. It is now showing on Tubi with ads.

I think that Jeri Ryan was also in that movie.

I saw the second half on TV. It was more entertaining than all the bad reviews led me to believe.

Good for you!
