... were not spectacular for the 1st ep -- more like ehhh!

This is the way I see it: A lot of people may tune into the first ep of of a new show, to see if it's worthy. So those numbers don't mean much. People will tune into the second ep for one of two reasons: either they liked the show and want to see more, or, they want to see if it gets any better. So those numbers don't mean much. The ratings for the third ep will be the true test of a new series. So next Tuesday, 5/30, will tell me whether this show will last or not.
