Toronto, Canada, 1899. William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950) fervently believes that he is destined to become Prime Minister, but to do so he will first have to fight his personal obsessions and overcome the many obstacles he will encounter on his tortuous path to power.

The Indian Act, passed in Canada in 1876, made members of Aboriginal peoples second-class citizens, separated from the white population: nomadic for centuries, they were moved to reservations to control their behavior and resources; and thousands of their youngest members were separated from their families to be Christianized: a cultural genocide that still resonates in Canadian society today.

Colt Hanson has embraced rural life and policing once again. However, the Russian assassins return, led by Vasily Sokolov, and an evil plot unfolds. Colt and his fellow officers become entangled in a murderous plan, as they race – against all odds – to save the Prime Minister.

Police officer Colt Hanson believes he is finished with the Russians—until the vengeful cartel returns to kill Colt and everyone he loves.

Over the course of a year, film follows Vancouver Pride Society president Ken Coolen to various international Pride events, including Poland, Hungary, Russia, Sri Lanka and others where there is great opposition to pride parades. In North America, Pride is complicated by commercialization and a sense that the festivals are turning away from their political roots toward tourism, party promotion and entertainment. Christie documents the ways larger, more mainstream Pride events have supported the global Pride movement and how human rights components are being added to more established events. In the New York sequence, leaders organize an alternative Pride parade, the Drag March, set up to protest the corporatization of New York Pride. A parade in São Paulo, the world's largest Pride festival, itself includes a completely empty float, meant to symbolize all those lost to HIV and to anti-gay violence.

The story will mostly take place in the town Petrolia, Ontario, where the oil industry in North America was born. By making a case study of this town, we can better understand how the industry operates today. The documentary will explore themes of colonialism, climate change and Canadian identity.
