Años 80. En un país hispanoamericano, un dictador se mantiene en el poder gracias al apoyo del ejército. Sus servicios secretos secuestran a un grupo de opositores en el que se encuentran un estudiante aficionado al boxeo (Leonardo Sbaraglia), un cocinero homosexual (Daniel Fanego), un profesor decepcionado (Andrea Prodan), un obrero amante del bolero (Jorge Perugorría) y un barbero que prefiere el tango (Luigi Maria Burruano).
