Lubo Moser is a jenisch, a gypsy. Mirana, who tried to oppose him, was killed. But how could this have happened? Why? Because Switzerland considers nomadism a social scourge, and, to eradicate it, it takes the children of the jenisch. Thus, without children, the Jenisch will be without a future. The mastermind is a state-run humanitarian institution, Pro Juventute, the arm the Street Children's Work: everything is perfectly legal and there is no opposition to the law. Lubo feels himself dying. And something about him really does die, on that night of wind and snow: it will be a new Lubo, tough and impenetrable, who will set up a project with unexpected implications to avenge his family and his people... and it will lead us to rethink the sense of justice, in the blurred boundaries between good and evil.

Suisse, hiver 1939. Le jeune yéniche, Lubo, est appelé pour rejoindre l'armée suisse pour protéger la frontière. Il est bientôt rejoint par son cousin qui lui apprend que la police a emmené ses enfants, au motif qu'ils sont des enfants de gitans, conformément au programme national de rééducation, les " Kinder der Landstrasse". Il les recherche sans relâche et entreprend de se venger à sa manière...

Perché la Svizzera considera il nomadismo una piaga sociale, e, per sradicarlo, si prende i bambini degli jenisch. Così, senza bambini, gli jenisch saranno senza futuro. La mente è un’istituzione umanitaria statale, la Pro Juventute, il braccio l’Opera Bambini di Strada: tutto è perfettamente legale e non ci si può opporre alla legge. Lubo si sente morire. E qualcosa di lui muore davvero, in quella notte di vento e neve: sarà un nuovo Lubo, duro e impenetrabile, a mettere a punto un progetto con risvolti inaspettati per vendicare la sua famiglia e la sua gente… e ci porterà a ripensare il senso di giustizia, nei labili confini tra il bene ed male.
