Elsa and Anna, the princesses in Frozen, were orphaned because their parents' ship sank crossing the North Sea while they were en route to the return party for Rapunzel, star of Tangled. We know this because of the shipwreck in Little Mermaid, who lives in the apparently tropical sea near Denmark. The evidence? Tangled was set, and released, three years before Frozen, in Germany. The King and Queen of Arendelle died en route from Norway. To pay their respects, Rapunzel and her Prince, Flynn, attend the coronation of Elsa, explaining their cameo role in the film's final scenes.
