Discuss Inception

I seem to always put this on and never be able to sit through it. I enjoyed it at the first viewing (because I wanted to know what was going to happen) but once the reveal is known, I don't think it holds you from scene to scene like other movies.

Yes, absolutely. Inception is a cure to insomnia. I think I had to have at least 10 goes before I could finish it first time around and then though WTF did I bother. Terrible movie IMHO.

but, you know, this is a meta device. The movie is about a heist that happens in the dreams...

If you say so as I was so bored by it all that I couldn't remember where it all started. I haven't watched it since and hopefully will never watch it again.

I like it, but I prefer other films such as The Prestige for multiple viewings.

First time round I was not only enthralled by the concept of dreams within dreams within dreams, but equally never fully understood how it worked within the narrative of the film as a whole, especially the ending.

So I have rewatched it in full a couple of times since, and have grown to appreciate its finer nuances, as well as trying to understand the spinning top significance etc.

But now that I have watched it and more or less understood it, I don't feel all that inclined to watch it again; at least not for a long while. Whereas with Nolan's other films, especially "Memento" I can watch and watch and watch again, and never get bored.
