I was glad in early movie that they put ppl talking portuga, but then later they all started talking spanish. AFAIK, all his travels were in Brasil, or am I wrong?

Also, it was ultrageous him saying "amigos" to índios. Cmon, portugas are the enemy to them, they kill índios and take their land. Índios would never feel good seeing european ppl talking to them in portuga. If they wanted to portray him making peaceful contact, they should have put him talking on Tupi or Guarani. But whatever, they were clearly lost on what language to use.
