I rarely concern myself with the sexuality of characters in film, I think nine times out of ten a romance hinders more than it helps, but with Get the Girl I'd like to float you the idea of how drastically the script would be changed if the lead was gay. Keep everything else the same, but change is sexuality and you have (in my opinion) a much more enjoyable film. Obviously, that is not the case, so instead my takeaway from Get the Girl is two simple facts, the first was some new information, and the second was just confirming something I already knew:
