임종을 앞두고 있는 김노인. 그의 임종을 지키기 위해 상우의 가족들이 병원을 찾는다. 김노인은 상우에게 병철의 행방을 물어보지만 병철은 연락을 피한다. 죽을 때까지 병철을 찾던 김노인은 상우와 가족들이 지켜보는 가운데 쓸쓸한 죽음을 맞이하고 끝까지 찾아오지 않은 병철에 대한 원망으로 상우는 병철이 거주하는 곳으로 발길을 돌린다.
