Wanting to start a new life, 40-year-old Heli has found an institution in which she can put her younger, mentally disabled sister. Her three egocentric brothers have agreed to the plan and come to share their sister's final weekend at the house where they all grew up on the outskirts of Berlin. They find that the "baby of the litter" has turned into an unpredictable "monster". The fallout brings them closer together than they'd expected.

Tommy, Frederick et Bruno, trois frères, passent quelques jours dans la maison familiale, où vit leur soeur benjamine, Ginnie, 26 ans, atteinte d'un handicap mental et dont s'occupe leur soeur Heli, quadragénaire, qui a arrêté toute activité artistique quelques années plus tôt pour se consacrer exclusivement à sa soeur. Tous se retrouvent le temps d'un week-end, avant que Ginnie intègre une institution spécialisée, afin qu'Heli puisse reprendre sa vie en main. Un sacrifice dont ses frères ne semblent pas prendre la mesure.

Die 40-jährige Heli will ein neues Leben beginnen und ihre jüngere, geistig behinderte Schwester in ein Heim geben. Die drei egozentrischen Brüder sind damit einverstanden. Gemeinsam verbringen sie das letzte Wochenende mit ihr in einem Haus am Rande Berlins. Sie erleben das "Nesthäkchen" als unberechenbares "Biest" und die Situation im Haus eskaliert. Nicht mehr alle sind damit einverstanden, dass Ginnie ins Heim soll. Die Sehnsucht, eine echte Familie sein zu können, ist groß.
