윤태호 작가의 인기 웹툰 '미생'을 모바일 단편 옴니버스 영화화하는 프로젝트로 원작자인 윤태호 작가와의 인터뷰를 거쳐 미생 세대 시나리오 작가인 민예지 작가가 미생의 등장인물 6명의 프리퀄(원작 작품 내용에 앞선 사건을 담은 속편)을 구성했으며, 미생 본편에 모두 쓰지 못했던 주인공들의 과거 이야기를 속시원히 풀어낼 예정이다. 연출은 손태겸 감독이 장그래편, 김대리편, 장백기편을 김태희 감독이 안영이편, 오차장편, 한석율편을 각각 맡으며 2013년 5월 24일 '장그래편'을 시작으로 Daum 모바일앱에서 순차적으로 공개된다.
