Discuss RoboCop

remembered it as B class crap, finished remastered version and if they would also used HD for TV segments and updated women hair cuts it would aged pretty good, also didn't remember the over the top violence, toxic waste stuff was on par with Chernobyl

Very impressive? I wouldn't go that far.

I might. I loved how the director Paul Verhoeven, who's Dutch, studied American culture in preparation for making the film. His attentiveness clearly shows, as there are lots of amusing jokes about our (the US') society and how it works throughout the movie. One line that cracks me up when I rewatch the film is in the scene with the hostage situation when the hostage taker demands a new car with "shitty mileage."

Hey CF,

Did you leave a post on one of the Green Knight threads (& then delete it)?

Yea.

Ah it was just a boring little reply about reading the story that the movie's based upon, written by who knows. I did enjoy the story, although I don't remember a thing about it.

Studying American culture really isn't as profound as you think it is.

Maybe someday, Adam, we'll have a nice dialogue about what you think I think.
