you're insinuating that both liberals and conservatives are of one mind. I think it's possible for certain liberals (like Jimmy Dore, Bill Maher, etc.) to not be a giant fan of Joe Biden and want to see his corruption come to light. If I were a liberal, I wouldn't want corrupt or incompetent people running the Democrat Party either.

Similarly I don't believe anti-wokeness (which I don't see this movie really addressing) is based necessarily on a fear of anything. I can be against the rewriting of history to promote narratives or censorship (which in my view is a large part of wokeness) out of a love of truth-finding and freedom of expression. I am all for Democrats making anti-Trump smear-pieces as much as Republicans making anti-Biden ones. May the best movie win. :)

Moore's made a few decent films. I remember being particularly shaken by Fahrenheit 911 thinking it'd change the world, but in the end, the film accomplished nothing.

You've used those terms - "change anything, change the world, accomplished nothing" - and I've got to ask a few questions:

1. how would you measure/quantify "changing" anything/the world?
2. why do you even ask the question? What do you expect from a movie?

With respect to these questions, and in good faith, I'll start. For me, a movie that influences my views lives on through my conversations, which exposes ideas to others; it also creates opportunities for me to learn how others see things. At times, views can be divisive, if people have entrenched views and won't come together (and that includes me, some of my views are non-negotiable). If you've seen my username across this forum (or checked out my old movie blog site), you see the kind of discussions I engage; I know some people learn from them, including me. My threads are seldom an echo chamber of circle-jerk agreement, I appreciate diversity of ideas. However, just as frequently, disagreement serves to make very clear on what side people tend to fall in any particularly heated topic. Which accomplishes clarity for all involved.

I think most artists (which includes movie-makers, the writers, directors, actors...) have views about the world, and express them through their art, to stimulate conversations. Not sure the ambition is to "change the world" as much as it is to add to the discourse and, where possible, change individuals.

So, back to you.

If by "wokeness" you mean being challenged to accept that the 1900s way of life was racist, misogynist, intolerant and largely moronic, hey sign me up for wokeness, I can adapt to anything. Sounds like you're not exactly up for the challenge.
