I stumbled across this on Netflix, and must say: given the caliber of comedians they were honoring, it was pretty average. As they final credits rolled, I also wondered--as much as I loved these comedians and can see more coming--it's very much of our time. That is to say, what about those who came before? I guess you have to start somewhere though, and based on the selection you can see where they started.
Also, I felt like the audience wasn't really tracking. The coldest comment was Chapelle saying, "For you comedians who are complaining because you can't speak, I think it's because you have nothing to say" in his celebration of Richard Pryor. I loled and the crowd was silent. That's some cold shit!
