The Movie Database-ondersteuning

There is a problem that I believe no one can solve except for Travis Bell, the founder of TMDB. The issue is that non-English speaking contributors, despite being educated in English, are ultimately not native speakers. These learners are at various stages of proficiency, ranging from basic to intermediate and advanced. I believe that TMDB should be accessible to all these groups and that there should not be a language barrier between some segments, especially when this barrier exists between TMDB and the largest group of contributors in terms of numbers, who are the non-native English speakers at the basic level. These contributors are the most numerous, but at the same time, they cannot adhere to the contribution rules because there is a language barrier between them and the rules, which are still in English as of 2024. Moreover, there is no multilingual support team yet. It is not required for the support team members to speak every language in the world; that would be naive thinking. The correct solution is to have a group of people for each language who represent the support team for that language and are responsible for everything related to it. This idea is not impossible as major companies already implement it. If you look at film studios or other companies like major restaurant chains, for example, you will find that they have several branches around the world, each headed by a different manager and employees who are proficient in the language of that country, sometimes referred to as the regional manager or regional branch. The same concept can be applied to the site to have an Arabic support team, a Japanese support team, an Indian support team, etc. Part of their duties would be to regularly translate the contribution rules whenever they are updated from English into different languages, which would break down the language barrier. Thus, the largest group, which is the non-native English-speaking contributors at the basic level, would be able to comply with the contribution rules, which would improve the quality of the site and help avoid many unintended errors, thereby saving more time that would be wasted in correcting these errors later.

That's certainly a good idea, but the biggest problem I see is that the moderators here are only volunteers and they're probably already doing everything they can in their language, I think hiring people to do it professionally would be difficult and expensive. However, it might be possible to translate the rules into the most common languages

But in fact you are right only Travis can give an answer to this suggestion
