The Movie Database Support

The confirmation from https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/63c8704870b44400e95a4f82 indicates that movies and TV shows have different numbers of genres available for selection. Why have many genres, such as music and romance, been removed from TV shows? Many TV shows also require these genres. Why remove them?

Can we consider providing all genre options for both movies and TV shows?

I asked about this a couple of months ago (https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/6595e0ab5907de7b4263bf7b), including a comparison of which genres are only available for movies, which genres are only available for TV series, and which genres are available for both.

I'm still interested in knowing why the site is set up to have different different genres like this! Some of the differences make sense (e.g. "Reality" and "Soap" make sense as TV-only genres), but I can't understand the reason for most of the differences. For example, to me it seems pointless to have a pair called "Sci-Fi and Fantasy" for TV series, when movies are able to have "Science Fiction" separate from "Fantasy".

Also, how did 70 TV series end up having "Music" as their genre, when that genre is currently only available for use on movies, not TV shows?
