I recently started updating the page for the original Tom and Jerry (1940) series, but it seems to have vanished. I received a notification about a discussion on one of the episodes, but the link leads to a non-existent page. Presumably this was an explanation for its deletion but since it no longer exists, I cannot view the link. Can anyone shed light on why the series is missing? It's a classic series and is present on many other media database websites.
Thanks

The original answer you have got is available here.
In short, the 1940s Tom & Jerry cartoons weren't a TV series but theatrical short movies and are listed as separate entries in the movies part of our database.

Ok but when having the collection, with 45 shorts in 1940, 67 items in 1950 and 47 items in 1960, it cannot be managed properly on the streaming server. Showing 161 items without them being under a common banner is not manageable no?
Is there any suggestion as how it could be handled? https://www.imdb.com/list/ls029632227

You will have to wait until the new type of universe collections is available.
Sorry, no date available for the moment.
We also have a lists feature, but at my knowledge, no media player are supporting them.

Yeah and in my case, using Video Station from Synology, the support is almost inexistent. I love the thing but it looks like they are letting it die.
So I suppose even if this universe collection gets done, I won't be able to use it in there to classify these shorts under what would look like a TV show. Because to be honest, it might be classified as short but it's way closer to a tv serie in term of streaming server...
