Discuss The Office

Item: Company Picnic (5x26)

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: This season of The Office, Season 5, has 2 episodes listed as single episodes when they were actually 2 episodes each. Episode 1-Weight Loss should be episodes 1&2 and Episode 13-Stress Relief should be episodes 14&15. There should be a total of 28 episodes not 26. I tried to edit this season, as I did another, but could not.

Please show me proof the episode originally aired on NBC as two episodes instead of one double episode.

Episode 1 & 2 were both aired on the same date, yes. But they were 2 individual episodes. On here they are listed as 1 episode.

Therefore Episode 2 should actually be Episode 3, Episode 3 should be Episode 4 and so on down the line. A double episode is 2 individual episodes aired on the same date but they are still episode 1 & 2. Not just Episode 1.

But they were 2 individual episodes.

Do you have proof?

According to Wikipedia, it's a single episode: "‡ denotes an hour-long episode (with advertisements; actual runtime around 42 minutes).", and " the episode first aired as a single 60 minute show in the United States on September 25, 2008 on NBC"

Yes. Aired as a single episode but it was listed as Episodes 1 & 2. If it’s listed as only episode 1 it makes all following episodes the wrong number. It’s really very clear if you just look.

Just look at the episodes that came after the first. None of them on this site match what’s on the link I gave you.

TMDb always follows the original airing order. We'll match anyone who also does, and anyone who use an alternative listing won't. man_shrugging

The airing order isn’t in question. The WRONG episode numbering is.

Sorry to be a pain. Could you take a look at season for? The first two episodes are the same as what I'm trying to explain. They are listed as two separate episodes but have the same air date. That is how they are on the season 4 DVD. So if they are listed as a single episode they won't match up. That is the case with season 5. So why can season 4 be this way and not season 5? Separate the first aired episode as episodes 1 & 2 but with the same air date? Do you understand where I'm coming from?
