Discuss The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour

"Dangerously Funny". Book has plenty of Vietnam mention and the Smothers' put down of America. No mention of Ho Chi Minh being a mass-murderer of landlords in the 1950's. Predictably! Get this. The show was to have far more bad anti-Vietnam stuff but the network censored a ton of it.Considering how much dirty anti-Vietnam talk and singing got in you walk away feeling CBS executives invented the saying or philosophy "You can't count on'em".

Glenn Campbell ( Rhinestone Cowboy), famed pop-country singer, fits pretty well into the book as he worked with the bad fraternal duo. Someone who also worked on the show chastised Campbell in memory. Campbell was very societal and in one sense did not deserve it but having worked with these terrible radicals - in another sense he sure did!
