I still don't see how a ricocheted bullet knows not to hit a guest. I always thought that they were not using real guns at all but given the events at the season one finale we can see that they clearly are.

They've never fully explained how the park guns work. A host is damaged by their bullets just like a human would be. And yet, there were several occasions when William got shot and it almost looked like there was a force field protecting him. You could see where the impacts were happening but he didn't even flinch - as though the bullets just dissolved.

Yep, I am rewatching season one now and that is exact scene where Teddy shoots him trying to protect Dolores you can see an impact but it is as though he was hit with a weak pellet gun. It makes a mark on his jacket but it doesn't penetrate.

I'm pretty sure there is a scene last season that shows Maeve download a bunch of shit that shows here a lot of things. I am also interested in how they keep people from slicing their arms off in the Samurai World. I have to admit, if there was a Samurai World, That is the one I would be addicted to. . The original movie had a Roman World and a Medieval World as well. Even those sound funner than West World although I would not be wanting to eat the shit the Romans ate. They ate some weird shit.

YES! It was precisely in that show where they featured them eating fried mice and some small birds like sparrows. As a matter of fact it was the second episode when Pullo and Verunus return little Augustus safe to Attia where Augustus insists they stay for dinner as equals . (Looks like we are well on our way to returning to that class based society) She offers them some dormouse which was considered a delicacy and a social status sorta like caviar (also yuck).
