Rip off of Event Horizon?

I saw literally 5 seconds of a commercial for this. Looks like Event Horizon. Has anyone seen it and can comment on this?

I meant to start in on it last night, but fell asleep before I got around to it!
The trailer does look Event Horizon-ish, but the novella the show is based on was published in 1980 with a previous (much derided) adaptation a decade before Event Horizon was released. As far as I remember, unless they've completely changed the plot, the similarities to EH should be mainly visual/stylistic. It has been a long time since I read the novella or watched the previous none-too-faithful adaptation though!

I'm on the 2nd episode. It is visually similar to EH but that's all. Still not sure how I feel about the plot and how it's being executed, though. I've not read the source material.
