Kind-hearted 'Frog Lover' teenager Anne Boonchuy (Brenda Song ) skips school on her 13th birthday with her friend, 'bad girl' Sasha Waybright (Anna Akana).

They meet up with smart, but clumsy Marcy Wu (Haley Tju) and the three girls have fun making mischief everywhere they go.

Dared by Sasha, Anne steals a music box, the Calamity Box, from the Thrift Stop store, and when she opens it, they are magically transported to Amphibia, a lily pad shaped island on another world, where amphibians - frogs, toads, newts and salamanders - are the dominant species. Anne, Sasha and Marcy are the only humans.

The girls are separated and arrive each in a different place. Anne wanders around alone in the marsh. There she meets 10-year-old Sprig Plantar (Justin Felbinger), a pink frog, and saves him from a giant mantis.

Sprig's grandfather Hopediah "Hop Pop" Plantar (Bill Farmer) invites her to stay with him, Sprig and Sprig's polliwog sister Polly Petunia Plantar (Amanda Leighton) at his farm in Wartwood Swamp.

Anne and Sprig become best friends and in season one they go on many adventures exploring this mysterious exciting world and its creatures.

In season two Anne and the Plantars leave Wartwood to visit the capital city Newtopia, where the ruler of Amphibia, King Andrias (Keith David), and the newts live. She hopes that there she'll find the answers to solve the mystery of the music box and so find her way back home.

After passing the tests at three temples to recharge the pink, blue and green gems on the box and battling an unexpected enemy, Anne returns to Earth. Unfortunately, her friends Sasha and Marcy are left behind on Amphibia.

Season three is the final one of the series and is set to premiere on Disney Channel and DisneyNow on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. EST with a special, extended episode.

Will Anne and her friends reunite and succeed in defeating their enemy?
