Takato fa entrare di nascosto Guilmon a casa sua mentre, nel frattempo, Rika, una Domatrice di Digimon, e la sua Digimon, Renamon, sconfiggono facilmente un Goblimon. Takato deve lasciare Guilmon da solo mentre è a scuola, ma Guilmon lo segue e scatena il caos nella scuola. Takato incontra Henry ed il suo Digimon Terriermon ed inizia a credere di non essere degno di aver ricevuto Guilmon. Mentre cerca un posto in cui Guilmon possa nascondersi, Takato ed il suo Digimon vengono attaccati da Rika e Renamon.

Henry e Terriermon interrompono il combattimento tra Guilmon e Renamon e Takato trova un perfetto nascondiglio per Guilmon quando lui è costretto ad assentarsi. In seguito Guilmon e Renamon riprendono la loro lotta, ma Terriermon, nel tentativo di fermarli ancora, viene colpito da un attacco. Digievolve quindi in Gargomon, ma, troppo saturo d'energia, non riesce a controllare i propri poteri e solo l'intervento di Guilmon gli impedisce di ferire gravemente Rika.

Gargomon riesce a regredire nuovamente in Terriermon ed Henry riflette sulla distruzione di Digimon veri, viventi, dopo aver parlato con Rika. Ricorda quindi come entrò in possesso del suo Digivice. Il giorno successivo i due sono costretti a dare battaglia a Gorillamon, un Digimon che spesso popola gli incubi di Henry. Terriermon riesce infine a sconfiggere Gorillamon, ma Henry gli impedisce di assorbirne i dati.

Calumon guarda i ragazzi della scuola di Takato giocare a calcio e desidera di essere un giocatore di calcio veramente bravo. Convince quindi Guilmon ad uscire dal suo nascondiglio e a giocare con lui. Mentre i due sono a scuola, compare un campo digitale dal quale fuoriesce un Vilemon, il quale li attacca. Rika e Renamon li salvano, ma Rika continua a credere che i Digimon siano solo dati e che siano fatti per combattere.

Guilmon svanisce in seguito ad un esperimento. Preoccupati per i loro Digimon, Henry e Rika si uniscono a Takato nella sua missione di liberare Guilmon, senza l'aiuto di Terriermon e Renamon.

Impmon si diverte a spaventare le coppiette appartate al parco durante la notte, ma Takato sospetta che sia Guilmon a causare questi fastidi. Impmon fa uscire Guilmon dal suo nascondiglio e quando Takato non lo trova lì sospetta ancora di più di lui. Quando Guilmon torna, ignaro di tutto ciò che sia successo, dice a Takato di aver spaventato una coppia, causando la rabbia del suo Domatore. Successivamente, appare un Devidramon e Guilmon viene coinvolto in un combattimento. Renamon si rifiuta di unirsi alla battaglia poiché è una questione tra Guilmon e Devidramon. Takato perdona Guilmon dopo aver scoperto di Impmon e Guilmon digievolve in Growlmon, distruggendo Devidramon.

Dopo la battaglia con Devidramon, Takato prova a far regredire Growlmon in Guilmon per riportarlo al suo nascondiglio, ma senza successo. Quando inizia a piovere, Takato dispera di riavere nuovamente il suo vecchio amico indietro. Tuttavia, quando smette di piovere, Growlmon regredisce in Guilmon mentre guarda l'arcobaleno.

IceDevimon cattura Rika e le si offre come suo nuovo Digimon partner, ma la ragazza rifiuta. Renamon digievolve in Kyubimon, ma non riesce a fermarlo. Guilmon si unisce alla lotta e distrugge IceDevimon grazie ad una brillante combinazione di carte di Takato. Dopo la battaglia, Rika è ancora spaventata e grida tra le lacrime di odiare tutti i Digimon, facendo scappare via Kyubimon.

Un Musyamon attacca Henry e Takato presto giunge ad aiutare l'amico. Tuttavia, Guilmon non riesce a vincere questa battaglia da solo, così Henry deve combattere tormentato dai suoi pensieri al riguardo della Digievoluzione di Terriermon, poiché il suo Digimon l'ultima volta non era stato in grado di controllare il potere di Gargomon. Improvvisamente una bambina si ritrova in pericolo, Henry supera le sue paure e fa digievolvere Terriermon in Gargomon. Il Digimon questa volta riesce a controllarsi perfettamente e distrugge Musyamon. Henry infine capisce che ci sono alcune battaglie impossibili da evitare.

Rika e Renamon riflettono sul fatto di non essere necessarie l'una all'altra. Improvvisamente, Renamon viene attaccata da tre Flybeemon appena bioemersi. Riesce a sconfiggere i suoi nemici, seppure con difficoltà, ma successivamente viene attaccata da Harpymon ed è sul punto di perdere. Renamon sta per essere distrutta, ma Rika colpisce Harpymon, facendo poi digievolvere Renamon in Kyubimon. Kyubimon sconfigge facilmente Harpymon ma non assorbe i suoi dati. Alla fine del combattimento, Kyubimon e Rika si scusano a vicenda.

Takato e Guilmon stanno per sconfiggere un DarkRizamon quando Yamaki arriva e lo cattura. Tornato a Hypnos, lui ed i suoi sottoposti scannerizzano i dati del Digimon, distruggendolo, ma ora consapevoli di cosa siano fatti i Digimon. Grazie a questa nuova conoscenza, Yamaki si prepara a lanciare il pericoloso programma Shaggai per eliminare i Digimon di tutto il mondo.

Quando uno strano Digimon tigre di livello evoluto attacca la città, i Domatori iniziano a combatterlo. Tuttavia, questo si rivela troppo forte sia per Rika che per Henry. Takato usa il potere di una carta blu per permettere a Growlmon di digievolvere anche lui al suo livello evoluto: WarGrowlmon. Ciò avviene dopo una conversazione mentale tra Takato e Growlmon in cui Growlmon dice a Takato, dopo che quest'ultimo si era messo in dubbio, che lui è assolutamente degno di essere un Domatore. WarGrowlmon sconfigge e distrugge facilmente la tigre, Mihiramon. Inoltre, Kazu, Kenta e Jeri assistono alla battaglia e sono impressionati dalle azioni di Takato.

Guilmon e Takato si uniscono quindi alla battaglia, con Guilmon che presto digievolve Growlmon. Dopo una breve battaglia, Growlmon ferisce a morte il serpente, Sandiramon con una PiroMeteora particolarmente potente, ma Sandiramon avverte che ci sono altri dieci Deva che stanno per giungere nel mondo reale, prima di soccombere a causa delle sue ferite e morire.

Durante un viaggio di gita scolastica Takato, Guilmon, Henry, Terriermon e Calumon passano un po' di tempo a rilassarsi e a divertirsi. Anche Impmon si unisce a loro e si diverte. Improvvisamente, una serie di black out fa insospettire il gruppo. In realtà è un Deva gallo, Sinduramon ad assorbire l'elettricità e ad assorbirla per aumentare il suo potere. Sinduramon si dirige verso la centrale elettrica per accumulare più energia, ma non può nulla contro la forza combinata di Gargomon e Growlmon e viene sconfitto da quest'ultimo, che lo colpisce e lo fa finire nell'acqua, facendolo rimanere folgorato dalla sua stessa elettricità.

Henry was given a worthless card by Kenta's friend Jeramie, but then the card turns into a Blue card when Henry tries to swipe it. When Henry's dad gets home Henry asks if he could check the blue card. While Henry's dad checked it out he notices his old friend Shibumi's code. After Henry, Takato, and Rika go find Jeramie, he tells them that he found the card after bumping into a mysterious man by an electronics store. When Takato and Henry get ready to find the man who bumped into Jeramie, Henry's dad sees them with Terriermon in the park so the kids run away. While Takato, Henry and Rika wait for the mysterious man, they find an Ox and Sheep Deva, Vajramon and Pajiramon. During the battle between Gargomon, Renamon, and the Deva digimons Gargomon Digivolves into Rapidmon to win the battle. Rapidmon destroys Pajiramon the Sheep Deva, but Vajramon, the Ox Deva, secretly reforms himself later and has Renamon come with him to meet with his boss. At the end, Henry's father finds out about Terriermon.

Impmon dice di odiare tutti gli esseri umani per coprire le sue stesse insicurezze. Mentre i Domatori si preparano a combattere il nuovo Deva apparso in città, Indramon, Impmon, irritato dai modi e dalle prese in giro del Deva, decide di combatterlo da solo. Tuttavia, il Digimon perde e viene quasi ucciso.

Impmon viene sconfitto da Indramon; il Deva sembra poi autodistruggersi volontariamente. Il signor Wong viene introdotto al programma Shaggai da Yamaki e gli viene chiesto aiuto per distruggere i Digimon. Indramon si materializza nuovamente ed i Domatori iniziano a combatterlo. I Domatori non possono nulla contro il Digimon, che non viene nemmeno sfiorato dai loro attacchi e da quelli dei militari. Con una mossa disperata, Takato prova ad usare la carta blu che il suo amico Kazu ha disegnato per lui e, incredibilmente, Growlmon riesce nuovamente a matrixdigievolvere WarGrowlmon. WarGrowlmon distrugge facilmente Indramon, rendendo Kazu molto contento e soddisfatto di sé stesso.

Jeri and her friends go to find Takato, as they hide and discuss how they would be great tamers Jeri drops an impressive collection of digimon cards on the ground. Jeri meets up with Calumon decides she really could be a Tamer and Calumon should be her partner. Calumon is obviously surprised by Jeri's daydream and while reacting to it the Rat Deva Kumbhiramon bioemerges from the ground. They are saved from the Deva by Leomon and Jeri falls in love with the lone warrior. Leomon is weirded out by her plea to be partners and runs away and hides. Takato meets up with Leomon and Leomon confesses he knows nothing about Tamers or partners. Jeri returns and Leomon runs away again. As Jeri is chasing him Takato calls Henry and Rika who come to the park. Kumbhiramon shows up again and Leomon and Gargomon fight him. Jeri tries to use Digimon Cards on him through Takato's Digivice but fails and becomes depressed. Leomon is angered by this and after Gargomon weakens the Deva, he destroys him. Leomon leaves before his sympathy for Jeri can make him stay.

Una serie di terremoti sta disturbando la città. I Domatori ed i loro Digimon rintracciano Vikaralamon ma, anche dopo che i Digimon sono digievoluti ai rispettivi livelli campione, non sono per niente in grado di arrecare danni al Deva. Desiderando un aiuto, i Domatori scoprono che se desiderano proteggere gli altri sono in grado di matrixdigievolvere.

The pig deva keeps ploughing through the city and it has to be evacuated. Takato's parents are very concerned because they can't find him but have to evacuate as well. The tamers find themselves outmatched even at matrix level. Henry suggests that he and Rika try believing in themselves and they use Radiant Faith Activate cards. Rapidmon and Taomon knock the Pig Deva down but before they can finish the job the Juggernaut program starts affecting all of them. Henry's dad decides he's had enough and uses his Tai Chi to take down two guards and reach his son. An encrypted code starts attacking the Juggernaut program and as it does the strange child who the kids keep running into reveals himself to be the Monkey Deva and that Calumon is the key to digivolving. At the same time a shining light finds Impmon in the underground tunnel where he's been sulking and offers Impmon power and knowledge to digivolve. The Monkey Deva throws a ball into the Juggernaut tunnel and destroys the program. The pig deva recovers as do Rapidmon and Taomon. Henry's dad and friends reach Takato and the others and tell them about the monkey deva. Takato decides to not be afraid anymore and shows Rika and Henry that if they fight alongside their partners then they can be even stronger. Takato's determination causes WarGrowlmon to gain more strength and after the others deal with Vikarlamon's attacks, WarGrowlmon destroys him with a point-blank Atomic Blaster. Unfortunately, right after, the Monkey Deva, Makuramon, kidnaps Calumon and declares he is taking him back to the Digital World. Leomon tries to save Calumon but is forced back by some shining needles; Jeri receives a Digivice and heals Leomon who is now her partner. In the wake of Vikarlamon's destruction, the Tamers desperately search for a way to enter the Digital World to save Calumon. Hypnos is also destroyed when Makuramon overloads Juggernaught.

Guilmon finds a portal to the digital world in his shed and the kids decide to tell their parents various things: Takato introduces Guilmon to his parents and although his mother freaks out, his father shows a lot of faith in him and convinces his mother which touches him, Henry tells Suzie the truth about Terriermon and leaves his father an e-mail, Rika's grandmother accidentally finds out about Renamaon but takes it well and promises to help cover for Rika. Rika wears a dress for her mother (something she hates to do) in order to give her mother a moment of happiness before she leaves which touches her mother. Jeri gets Leomon to speak to her father about the whole thing and Kazu and Kenta decide to join them in order to find their own Digimon partners. The kids, after getting detention, write essays for Ms. Asaji about what they're doing believing she won't read them for a while, but she reads them right away and confronts them. The kids convince her to leave them to do what they have to do, but she is incredibly worried about them. The next day as they prepare to leave, the group is confronted by Yamaki, but instead of trying to stop them he gives them a comlink to stay in touch as he is now on their side. Afterwards the group heads through the portal to the Digital World.

Una volta che il gruppo è entrato a Digiworld, Rika individua subito in lontananza delle "antenne" e spera che Calumon sia lì. Il gruppo si muove quindi alla ricerca di Calumon, ma quando si avvicinano alle presunte antenne scoprono che si tratta solo di rocce. Proprio in quel momento Meramon li attacca, ma dopo essere stato sconfitto viene travolto da un branco di Jagamon ed ucciso. Il gruppo viene separato: Takato, Guilmon, Henry, Terriermon, Jeri e Leomon da una parte, Rika, Renamon, Kazu e Kenta dall'altra. Nel frattempo, anche Calumon e Makuramon vengono separati.

A causa di una forte tempesta di vento, Kazu e Kenta finiscono nella casa di Jijimon e Babamon insieme a Rika e Renamon e sognano di diventare i domatori dei due Digimon di livello mega.

Takato e gli altri finiscono in un villaggio di MudFrigimon mentre sono sotto attacco di una motocicletta senza guidatore. Durante questi avvenimenti, Impmon, ora anch'egli nel mondo digitale, incontra un Deva, Caturamon che gli dice che può aiutarlo a digievolvere. Viene rivelato che il nome della moto è Behemoth e che possiede chiunque le salga sopra, compreso un Choromon, in quel momento posseduto. Guilmon riesce a spingere il Digimon giù dalla moto, ma per farlo viene posseduto lui stesso. Alla fine Leomon salva Guilmon e Behemoth cade in un lago di lava vicino al villaggio, ma ne riemerge con a bordo, come suo guidatore legittimo, Beelzemon, appena evoluto da Impmon.

Il secondo gruppo precipita in una strana dimensione piena di orologi ed ingranaggi. Dopo essere stati attaccati da un Megadramon, i ragazzi incontrano Ryo, un domatore leggendario che una volta batté anche Rika in un torneo.

I due gruppi si rincontrano e Ryo viene presentato al resto del gruppo. Nel frattempo Rika, ferita nell'orgoglio e furiosa, si allontana dal gruppo con Renamon al seguito. Alla fine il gruppo si fa un'idea di dove potrebbe essere Calumon, ma si imbatte in Makuramon e nel Deva drago, Majiramon. Cyberdramon, il Digimon di Ryo, distrugge Majiramon e Ryo lascia il gruppo.

The group returns to the desert to try to find Rika. Rika nearly drowns but is unexpectedly saved by Calumon. A flood pushes them and Renamon to the desert and Calumon digivolves Renamon to Kyubimon to save them. They reunite with the others, but before they can return home, they get confronted by Beelzemon who Kyuubimon realizes is the Digivolved Impmon. Kyubimon digivolves to Taomon to face him, but unfortunately the Dog Deva, Chatsuramon, shows up and recaptures Calumon. Unfortunately, while Yamaki is on leave, the government starts up the Juggernaut, causing sudden night and storms in the Digital World. Thanks to Chatsuramon's attack, Henry, Takato and Terriermon get sucked into a data stream while the others are protected by a shield from Taomon and Beelzemon runs off. At Hypnos as the Juggernaut gets out of control, one of the agents calls Yamaki and Riley and they manage to shut it down.

Il gruppo incontra un Andromon che sta provando a sconfiggere un Orochimon per liberare i suoi schiavi Gekomon. Andromon, dopo aver perso troppa energia, regredisce in Guardromon e Orochimon rapisce Jeri affinché la ragazza gli serva per sempre il sakè procuratogli dai Gekomon. Kazu diventa amico di Guardromon e lo salva facendosi dare dai Gekomon del sakè per lenire le sue ferite, quindi i due mettono a punto un piano di salvataggio per Jeri. Il gruppo riesce a raggiungere Orochimon senza problemi, ma questo è troppo forte per Guilmon, Renamon, Leomon e Guardromon. Grazie all'incoraggiamento ricevuto da Rika, Jeri effettua la sua prima Digimodifica e, grazie ad essa, Leomon riesce a distruggere Orochimon. Grazie alla sua nuova amicizia con Guardromon, Kazu diventa un Domatore con Guardromon come suo Digimon partner, lasciando tutti di stucco.

Takato, Henry e Terriermon apprendono da Gorou "Shibumi" Mizuno, la cui coscienza è stata proiettata a Digiworld, diversi segreti di Digiworld. I tre vengono a sapere dell'Arca, dell'esistenza e del significato dei Digignomi, del segreto delle carte blu, del segreto della nascita di Guilmon e delle ragioni dietro il comportamento dei Digimon Supremi.

La sorellina di Henry, Suzie Wong, viene misteriosamente trasportata a Digiworld ed incontra Antylamon, il Deva coniglio. Mentre le due diventano amiche, Takato, Henry e Terriermon rintracciano Suzie. Makuramon attacca Suzie, ma Antylamon contrattacca per proteggere la sua nuova amica proprio mentre arrivano Takato, Henry e Terriermon. In seguito alla loro nuova amicizia, Suzie diventa la Domatrice di Antylamon, cosa che sciocca il resto del gruppo poiché ora Suzie è la Domatrice di un Deva. Come punizione per le sue azioni, il Digimon Supremo Zhuqiaomon la fa regredire al suo livello intermedio, Lopmon.

Quando il gruppo finalmente si riunisce, i suoi componenti vengono velocemente attaccati da Beelzemon, che non si fa convincere dai ragazzi a redimersi. Uccide infatti Leomon ed assorbe i suoi dati, provando ad eliminare anche Rapidmon e Taomon poco dopo, ma non riuscendoci grazie alla Carta del Clone prontamente usata da Henry e Rika. Furioso per la morte di Leomon, Takato costringe Guilmon a digievolvere alla sua forma di livello mega, ma qualcosa va storto.

Con lo sfortunato aiuto della Digievoluzione del Male, Guilmon digievolve in Megidramon, mentre il D-Arc di Takato va in mille pezzi. Megidramon combatte contro Beelzemon e quasi lo uccide, ma Makuramon arriva e rinfaccia a Beelzemon l'inutilità della sua Digievoluzione. Beelzemon uccide quindi Makuramon e, assorbendone i dati, diventa più forte e si libera dalla stretta di Megidramon. Beelzemon colpisce Megidramon al suo punto debole, il petto, facendolo regredire in Guilmon. Takato cerca di superare il profondo dolore a cui è andato incontro e riafferma la sua amicizia con Guilmon. Dopo aver desiderato di poter combattere insieme, Takato e Guilmon effettuano la Biodigievoluzione e diventano Gallantmon.

Gallantmon faces Beelzemon in a tough one-on-one battle. During the battle, Gallantmon destroys Behemoth and rescues Kazu and Kenta which causes them to realize that Takato has merged with Guilmon. Meanwhile, the Sovereign sends his last Deva Chatsuramon to destroy Lopmon for being a traitor. Chatsuramon goes to kill Suzie and Lopmon, but Terriermon takes the hit, saving them and mortally injuring him. Before Chatsuramon can do more, Gallantmon destroys him, taking out the last Deva, but Beelzemon absorbs his data which makes him stronger. Beelzemon beats down Gallantmon and is about to kill him, but Guardromon and Kazu intervene and buy Gallantmon enough time to recover. Beelzemon's attacks do no damage to him after that and he runs out of ammo. Once that's done, Gallantmon blasts Beelzemon with his Shield of the Just, finally defeating him. Gallantmon goes to kill him, but Jeri stops him as it won't bring Leomon back, and orders Takato to spare Beelzemon’s life. Beelzemon remembers his own Tamers and leaves, regretting his actions while Takato gains a new D3 Digivice.

The crew meet Zhuqiaomon the Digimon Sovereign. WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon face him but are no match for him and Rapidmon's injuries from Chatsuramon leave him weakened and he is indicated to be slowly deleting throughout the episode as he flickers several times. Lopmon tries to help convince Zhuqiaomon to stop but fails and is nearly destroyed by him but WarGrowlmon protects her. Her cries summon Suzie (who was supposed to be watched by Guardromon but he misunderstood Kazu's orders). Rapidmon is defeated and reverts to a severely weakened Terriermon. Henry's determination causes him and Terriermon to BioMerge to MegaGargomon which heals Terriermon's injuries. MegaGargomon defeats and apparently destroys Zhuqiaomon along with his castle and everyone celebrates outside. Unfortunately, Zhuqiamon is revealed to have survived and comes back for revenge.

After the De-Digivolution of MegaGargomon the tamers came to know that Zhuqiaomon is still alive and still wants to fight. Zhuqiaomon tries to convince Lopmon to turn to his side. When Lopmon refuses to do so, he attacks the tamers. Taomon protects them until Zhuqiaomon is stopped by another Sovereign, Azulongmon. Zhuqiaomon battles him and Guilmon and Terriermon join in to no effect and are nearly destroyed. Takato jumps out of Taomon's shield to help and Guilmon and Takato Digivolve to Gallantmon to fight. Azulongmon lets the battle go on a bit to make a point of how strong Bio-Merged warriors are but ultimately stops the battle and manages to convince Zhuqaiomon that this fight is useless and they should all fight against the real enemy: D-Reaper.

Mentre il gruppo cerca di salvare Calumon dal D-Reaper, Ryo e Cyberdramon tornano in gruppo dopo aver assistito al combattimento di Baihumon, assistito da Ebonwumon, proprio contro il D-Reaper. Rika, innervosita dalla presenza di Ryo, cerca di fare tutto da sola e trova Calumon. Tuttavia, quando le cose si mettono male per il gruppo, Rika decide di fare tutto ciò che le è possibile per proteggere i suoi amici, perfino sacrificarsi, e questi sentimenti consentono la Biodigievoluzione tra lei e Renamon, che divengono Sakuyamon. Sakuyamon salva tutti dal D-Reaper e li riporta in superficie.

Calumon aiuta ogni Digimon presente a Digiworld (tranne i Digimon dei Domatori) a digievolvere al livello mega per poter combattere il vero nemico: il D-Reaper. Nel frattempo, Kenta incontra un MarineAngemon che si attacca subito a lui, ma il ragazzo lo spedisce in battaglia. Azulongmon invia i Domatori nel deserto dal quale erano partiti per tornare a casa e Zhuqiaomon, nonostante sia ancora disgustato della scelta dei Digimon dei Domatori, decide di rispettare ciò e gli permette di andare con i Domatori.

Yamaki was in contact with the tamers so when he came to know that tamers wanted to come back he called the team who at first made the digimons and asked them to build a transportation type digimon that can take the kids out of there. They called it the Arc. It was not a complete digimon but was made from the core of a digimon. Rika with Renamon went to save Impmon on the behalf of Renamon the timing of Arc was fixed so Ryo and Cyberdramon went to get Rika and Renamon. On the other hand Arc left on its time and Guilmon asked the Arc to stop as his Tamer and other friends were not there yet. They all reached there at time as the Arc has stopped but due to this reason Arc lost its way to the real world Takato talks to Arc and request it to take them to real world Arc under stands and reply him by his communication device and take them to the real world. On the way, Kenta's Digimon friend MarineAngemon pops out of his pocket (its indicated the Digi-Nomes put him there) along with a Digivice. MarineAngemon is now an amazed Kenta's partner. Jeri was acting strange but every one thought it as she is sad. Impmon was ashamed for what he had done to Leomon; he fainted when he was rescued.

I Domatori tornano nel mondo reale. Takato scopre che i genitori di Jeri non la verranno a prendere. Si prende quindi la responsabilità di riaccompagnarla a casa. Sulla strada verso casa, Jeri continua a comportarsi in modo strano. Takato prova a spiegarle i suoi veri sentimenti per lei, ma la ragazza non risponde nemmeno ad una cosa così importante. Takato lascia Jeri alle cure dei suoi genitori e Calumon decide di restare con lei. Il padre di Jeri è molto arrabbiato con lei. Tornando a casa, Takato sente al telegiornale che il D-Reaper è stato avvistato nel mondo reale. Takato, Henry e Rika, pensando ed agendo separatamente, decidono di fare qualcosa per fermarlo e sgaiattolano via, incontrandosi poi all'ingresso del tunnel che porta al Parco di Shinjuku.

Takato, Rika and Henry reunited to fight against the D-Reaper but they failed to defeat it as they realized that they can not Biomerge to Mega form in this world as they are not data in this world. Impmon meets his friends Ai and Mako. They treated him nicely. When Impmon saw the Tamers on TV fighting the D-Reaper, he decides to help them even though he's not sure he can Digivolve again. Ai gives him a kiss and Mako gives him a toy gun and he heads off to help. Impmon's determination to help causes him to digivolve to Beelzemon again, and Mako's toy gun causes him to digivolve further into Beelzemon Blast Mode with the toy gun as his new weapon. Beelzemon turns the tide of the battle, weakening the D-Reaper's Agent allowing WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon to destroy it. Afterwards the Tamers and their Digimon joke around with Beelzemon who is at first annoyed, but joins in when he figures out they're just joking around. Takato sees Jeri mysteriously nearby.

Una ragazza misteriosa, Alice McCoy, nipote del Pioniere Digitale Rob McCoy, giunge in città con il suo Digimon Dobermon. I due sono stati mandati da Azulongmon per permettere ai Domatori di poter biodigievolvere nuovamente al livello mega. I Domatori vengono a sapere che Dobermon è quindi un regalo ed il Digimon si sacrifica per farli biodigievolvere. I Domatori vengono inoltre informati che la maggior parte del D-Reaper è nel mondo reale e che sta a loro fermarlo.

Durante il combattimento, Gallantmon cade nel D-Reaper e regredisce. Qui Takato e Guilmon incontrano Jeri, ma in realtà la ragazza è diventata parte del D-Reaper. La ragazza si trasforma in un Digimon dipendente dal D-Reaper, chiamato Agente. Lopmon chiede a Suzie di aiutarla a digievolvere così da poter aiutare i suoi amici e digievolvere Antylamon. Calumon sente che Jeri è in pericolo e chiede l'aiuto di Impmon affinché vada con lui a liberarla. Impmon, sentendosi ancora molto colpevole della fine di Leomon, si unisce a lui. Calumon ha scoperto che Jeri è tenuta nella Sfera Kernel. La Sfera Kernel non è nient'altro che il centro d'energia del D-Reaper.

Ryo and Cyberdromon Biomerge digivolved to Justimon to help them. While MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon go to rescue Takato and Guilmon, Justimon and Guardromon battle another D-Reaper Agent. In the Chaos mass, Kenta and MarineAngemon rescue Takato from the Jeri Agent and they're taken out of there by MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon. Meanwhile, Calumon and Impmon head off to rescue Jeri but are intercepted by more agents. Impmon digivolves to Beelzemon Blast Mode and easily defeats them and he and Calumon reach the Kernel Sphere where they find Jeri. Beelzemon manages to get Calumon into the Kernel Sphere where he joins Jeri, but Beelzemon is captured by the D-Reaper. At the battle with the Agent, Justimon is no match for it even with Guardromon's help and is nearly killed, but Guardromon saves him (something which Kazu is excited about as Justimon thanks him). MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon rejoin the battle, but even their help isn't enough even though they figure out the Agent's weakness. Justimon is nearly killed again but is saved by the sudden arrival of Antylamon who holds the Agent in place, allowing Justimon to finally destroy it. Later, Lopmon apologizes as she witnessed what happened to Beelzemon and Calumon but couldn't stop it so she came to help them instead. As a reward for her help, Ryo gives Suzie a Modify Card to use herself.

Calumon trova Jeri nella Sfera Kernel del D-Reaper. La ragazza apre gli occhi ma non risponde a Calumon. Nel frattempo, Takato prova a convincere il signor Katou (il padre di Jeri) di smetterla di essere arrabbiato con lei. Yamaki è impegnato con i disegni di una versione più complessa dell'Arca, che lui chiama Grani, ricalcando il nome del famoso cavallo da battaglia, che viene progettata per fungere da destriero di Gallantmon. Jeri ha dei flashback di quando sua madre morì ed inizia a borbottare, spaventando Calumon. Quando arriva un nuovo Agente, il signor Katou si reca da lui e chiede il rilascio di Jeri, ma viene quasi ucciso. Justimon e Guardromon riescono a distruggerlo, ma giunge un altro Agente più grande. Grani arriva finalmente in soccorso e Gallantmon vi sale sopra, vola verso l'Agente e lo distrugge.

Grani is fully developed. Calumon tries to help awake Jeri. Meanwhile, Beelzemon, released by the D-Reaper, tries to break open the kernel sphere in which Jeri is with no results. He's joined by Gallantmon who manages to use Grani's Yugooth Blaster to destroy the Agent guarding it. Kazu and Kenta are nearly killed, but are saved by Antylamon. During the battle, the adults learn the truth of the Bio-Merging and are shocked. The shots of the kids inside the Digimon is somehow broadcast on live TV and Ms. Asaji leads Takato's entire class in cheering him on once she sees this. Finally Beelzemon manages to break through to Jeri by using Leomon's Fist of the Beast King attack (its indicated with the help of Leomon's spirit) and Jeri finally wakes up, but grows depressed when she realizes its Beelzemon and not Leomon coming to save her. She eventually tries to reach Beelzemon, but its too late and the Kernel Sphere closes up again and Beelzemon is struck down by the D-Reaper and falls towards the Chaos Mass.

Beelzemon, regredito in Impmon, viene salvato dalla cancellazione da Grani, mentre Jeri prova ad uscire dalla Sfera Kernel in cui è intrappolata. La Task Force Globale lancia dei missili speciali pensati per distruggere le comunicazioni interne del D-Reaper, ma questi vengono cancellati quando il D-Reaper evolve nel Mother D-Reaper a causa delle forti emozioni negative di Jeri. Grani libera Impmon, che però è gravemente ferito dall'attacco del D-Reaper. L'evoluzione del D-Reaper costringe i Domatori a ritirarsi. Rika e Takato sono prelevati dalle loro famiglie, mentre Henry rimane in ufficio con il padre. I Pionieri Digitali elaborano un nuovo piano ed Henry convoca Rika e Takato, che lo raggiungono con l'approvazione dei propri genitori. L'episodio termina con Rika e Takato pronti a combattere nuovamente.

The Tamers enter the D-Reaper to fight and to rescue Jeri. At Hypnos, everybody is working on Operation Doodlebug that is supposed to revert the D-Reaper to its original harmless form using the Juggernaut program. The D-Reaper opens a wormhole connecting it to the D-Reaper in the Digital World and summons the Cable Reaper. Sakuyamon destroys some of the Agents which frees Jeri. Jeri's own determination boosted by Calumon causes her to start to fight again and the Kernel Sphere is cracked by her Digivice although Chaos Mass starts to flow in. Outside, some cops are attacked by an Agent but they're rescued by Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon and MarineAngemon who are then surrounded by police (it is never explained how they get away). Impmon, Ai and Mako escape the city on a bus, but Impmon is seriously injured and doesn't know if he'll survive. Suddenly a Dig-Nome grants Ai and Mako a Digivice which heals Impmon and officially confirms the two as his tamers. Gallantmon tries to reach the top of the Mother D-Reaper but falls. Grani then approaches him asking if he wants wings to fly. Grani sacrifices itself and enables Gallantmon to become Gallantmon Crimson Mode.

Gallantmon in his new form seems to be making some headway. Meanwhile, the others are losing. In a last attempt Sakuyamon gives all of her power to Justimon who then inserts it into his blade and cuts the Cable Reaper in two, but it proves to be in vain as it regenerates. However, the Digimon Sovereign suddenly appear and drag the Cable Reaper back to the Digital World where they apparently destroy it. The Juggernaut program is revealed to be in MegaGargomon and he activates it in the wormhole vortex. As the vortex is going at the speed of light, the Juggernaut reverses it causing a minture Big Bang and a reverse time effect in it which will devolve the D-Reaper into a harmless program and send it back to the Digital World. Gallantmon Crimson Mode comes into conflict with the Jeri Agent and he finally destroys her before arriving at the cracked Kernel Sphere. Jeri and Calumon are not there anymore as they escaped and Calumon somehow protects them with a forcefield. Unfortunately, the Red Card's effects wear off and the Megas de-digivolve, but Guilmon flings Takato to Jeri and the two are finally reunited. The Tamers try to figure a way out and are suddenly rescued by Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon, MarineAngemon and Lopmon and escape and the D-Reaper is fully sucked into the wormhole and devolves. The Tamers digimon suddenly change to their in-training forms and are forced to return to the Digital World. Before leaving, Impmon asks for Jeri's forgiveness for killing Leomon and she grants it to his surprise. Epilogue – Takato refinds the portal to the digital world at Guilmon's old hiding shed.
